Tottenham want £17m-rated attacker with 14 goals this season

Tottenham are keen on acquiring the services of Royal Antwerp sensation George Ilenikhena.

The North London club are gearing up for an all-important transfer window where they are expected to make quite a few changes to their squad. Manager Ange Postecoglou has already insisted that changes need to happen and people at the club are working towards it.

George Ilenikhena is quite high on Tottenham’s wishlist and according to a report from VoetBalkrant, Spurs want to sign him in the summer.

Spurs parted ways with their record goal scorer Harry Kane last summer. They decided against signing a replacement last time out. Son Heung-min and Richarlison have done a great job up top but the team’s overall goal tally has seen a significant dip and they are now looking to bolster their attacking unit ahead of next season.

Their priority is to bring in a top-quality striker. While they are on the lookout for one, the North London club are also interested in 17-year-old Royal Antwerp sensation George Ilenikhena.

The teenage striker might not be a first-team regular yet but he has already attracted a lot of interest. He has 14 goals and an assist in just over 1,800 minutes of first-team football. His performances have put him on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and they are looking to sign him ahead of next season.

Antwerp acquired his services in the summer for just over £5 million last summer and they now want at least £17 million for his services.

While the Belgian outfit will not want to lose the teenager this early, they will have to sell players to raise funds for the summer window and his departure will help them resolve their financial problems.
