NFL Media's Colleen Wolfe apologizes over controversial Jets story

As shared by Sam Neumann of Awful Announcing and Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, NFL Media's Colleen Wolfe took to X to address her controversial claim regarding New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and head coach Robert Saleh allegedly having a "heated conversation" during the recent owners meetings. 

"Regarding my comments surrounding the Jets on the @AroundTheNFL podcast: no, I was not at the Annual Meetings, and yes, I was told of the exchange between head coach Robert Saleh and Woody Johnson by someone in attendance," Wolfe wrote in a note. "Others on-site Sunday night have since reached out and described the interaction differently. My intent wasn’t to break news; I leave that to the insiders. My sincerest apologies to the Jets organization for the unnecessary distraction during such a crucial part of their offseason."

Per Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, Wolfe said on a recent edition of the NFL's "Around the NFL" podcast that "a very reliable source at the owners meetings" told her that "there was a very heated conversation between Woody and Robert Saleh, to the point where it was a little awkward." 

NFL reporter Connor Hughes of SNY later said that "there was no verbal argument between" Johnson and Saleh, and Johnson offered a strong response on Thursday.
