Jalin Hyatt speaks for all Tennessee Vols fans at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who just wrapped up his rookie season in the NFL with the New York Giants, accomplished something that no one who joins UT after the 2022 season will be able to accomplish.

Hyatt was on the only Tennessee team to beat a Nick Saban-led Alabama team.

And Hyatt, of course, was one of the main reasons the Vols beat the Crimson Tide in 2022. His five touchdowns in Tennessee's 52-49 win against Alabama was one of the best performances in college football history.

Hyatt was a surprised as anyone when Saban retired earlier this year. The former Tennessee standout told NBC Sports this week that he thought Saban had at least five years left in him.

But now that Saban is gone, Hyatt is hoping that translates to more wins for the Vols against Alabama.

"It's a different team, different coaching staff over there," said Hyatt. "Hopefully now, knowing that Saban is gone, hopefully Tennessee wins more games against them. Hopefully that becomes more of a Tennessee thing since Saban's gone."

I'm pretty sure every Tennessee fan on the planet feels the exact same way as Hyatt.
