Kyle Anderson’s injury status for Suns-Timberwolves Game 2

Anderson is listed as questionable with a right hip injury, according to the NBA Injury Report. He is the only player listed on Minnesota’s injury report. For Phoenix, Grayson Allen is also questionable while Damion Lee has been ruled out.

Anderson plays an important role for Minnesota. The 30-year-old is a versatile forward who is capable of guarding multiple positions if necessary.

Overall, Anderson averaged 6.4 points per game on 46 percent field goal shooting in 2023-24. He added 3.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 0.9 steals per outing. Anderson started just 10 of the 79 games he appeared in during the 2023-24 campaign, but his presence was crucial off the bench.

Anderson is a player who could make a big difference in the postseason. The Timberwolves will need him moving forward if they want to make a deep playoff run. Sure, he is not the best player on the team, but Minnesota understands how important Anderson is to their success.

He is also a veteran. His experience is something that will only help matters for Minnesota.

Anderson made his NBA debut in 2014-15 with the San Antonio Spurs. In 2018-19 , Anderson joined the Memphis Grizzlies. With San Antonio and Memphis, Anderson established himself as a capable role player who could impact the game in multiple ways.

And he has continued to build upon that reputation since making his debut with the Timberwolves in 2023-23.

In the end, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns will lead the way for the Timberwolves. Rudy Gobert’s defense will also be pivotal against the Suns.

As aforementioned, Minnesota’s all-around talent makes them an intriguing team. Winning the NBA Finals is still going to be an immense challenge, but there is no denying the Timberwolves’ potential. But any team that features Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal is not going to go down without a fight.

This series is far from over, but the Timberwolves have an opportunity to take a big step in the right direction with a victory on Tuesday.

As for the question of if Kyle Anderson is playing tonight vs. the Suns, the answer is currently uncertain.
