Dodgers Prospects Landon Knack and Emmet Sheehan Moving Up to AAA
USA TODAY Sports

The next wave of the future is getting closer for the Dodgers (and yes, there have been a lot of waves of the future so far this season). According to reports, the club is promoting Emmet Sheehan and Landon Knack from Double-A to Triple-A.

The pair of mid-level pitching prospects have been exceptional at AA so far this season, leading arguably the best rotation in the minor leagues.

Fans may remember the name Landon Knack in recent years. He was making the rounds as a future can't-miss prospect but fell dropped off the radar a bit in 2022 after a down season. He was drafted out of East Tennesee State University in the second round of the 2020 draft, behind Bobby Miller, and is in the midst of a great season at AA.

Knack leads the team in starts (12) and innings (57.1) while posting a 2.20 ERA. At 25, he was a little on the older side at the AA level. If he can continue his success at AAA, he's an option to join the Dodgers within weeks, if needed.

Emmet Sheehan has also been exceptional for the AA Tulsa Drillers. He's second on the team in starts (10) and innings (53.1) with a minuscule 1.86 ERA. The 23-year-old right-hander was a 6th round pick out of Boston College last year.

Sheehan is number 13 on the Dodgers' top 30 prospects list, per MLB Pipeline. Knack lands at number 18.
