The San Jose Earthquakes won their most recent match on Saturday and are in the upper half of Major League Soccer's Western Conference standings. Other than that, it's been a brutal week for sports fans in the Bay Area.
The @SJEarthquakes did win Saturday!

The Sharks (22-44-16) wrapped up their woeful season last week, ending the campaign on a six-game losing streak, including two contests that contributed to the rough 0-15 mark for the area squads in the past week.
The defending NBA-champion Warriors, meanwhile, are potentially in deep trouble, as they not only trail the Sacramento Kings 2-0 in their first-round playoff series, but will be without suspended forward Draymond Green in Game 3.
Since Oakland's win over Baltimore, the A's have lost six in a row to fall to an MLB-worst 3-15. They're playing at home against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday.
The Giants are on a five-game losing streak but did push the Miami Marlins to extra innings on Wednesday.
The Bay Area sports teams' ineptitude comes as many of the New York and New Jersey sports squads have been in a celebratory mood, with the Devils, Islanders and Rangers of the NHL and the Knicks and Nets of the NBA all making their respective postseasons.
Both the Devils and Islanders trail their first-round playoff series 0-1 though (against the Carolina Hurricanes and Rangers, respectively), while the Knicks are tied 1-1 with the Cleveland Cavaliers in their first-round set and the Nets are down 0-2 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
